Broker
A broker is an intermediary who negotiates rates, handles
paperwork, forms & legal items and serves the borrower.
Brokers in hard money generally take between 1 and 4 'points' off the
loan's total value in exchange for their services, although some
brokers will instead charge
a flat rate.
A real estate broker is a licensed person or organization who negotiates real
estate contracts, mortgages, leases, and other agreements between the parties
in a real estate transaction. Real estate agents (or realtors) are also licensed
representatives who work for brokers.
