Loan Originator
A loan originator is a broker who charges the service of locating borrowers
and putting them together with an appropriate lender.
The broker's (aka loan originator) fees are charged to the borrower at the time of closing in the
form of points on the loan. Usual and customary fees for a loan originator is 1-3 points.
